Selma Kessler, P.E., CFM

Selma joined the City of Omaha’s Environmental Services Division of the Public Works Department in the spring of 2009.  She is responsible for the ongoing implementation of the City of Omaha’s Post Construction Stormwater Management Program, including technical review and approval of plans as well as establishing guidelines to support the engineering community through the best management practice (BMP) selection and design process.

Prior to working for the City, Selma spent 10 years in the private sector as a Project Manager/Engineer specializing in water resources projects and 10 years as an Engineer with Corps of Engineers’ Flood Plain Management Services section.  Selma is a registered professional engineer in the State of Nebraska and a Certified Floodplain Manager.  She is also serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Engineers Club of Omaha.
